EOS believes that an integrated European security market is a necessity and will only be achievable in close cooperation between private and public stakeholders, users and suppliers. EOS Members fully subscribes to a strong, trustful and cooperative public-private effort, involving all stakeholders with a common objective of increasing the security of Europe's citizens, societies and economies.

Toward this end, EOS will focus its activities on:

• supporting the development of coherent and structured security policies across Europe
• shaping the market by means of linking stakeholders and defining standards and procedural best practices
• serving as a communication tool towards and for all stakeholders
• providing an exchange platform for private and public civil security stakeholders and National Security Platforms
• conducting and supporting studies within this perimeter
