Euralarm represents the electronic fire and security industry at European and worldwide fora, providing technical and market expertise for policy making and standardization work in the field of security and fire safety.
Their main fields of activity are: Fire detection and alarms, intrusion detection and alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, alarm transmission and alarm receiving center.
Founded in 1970 Euralarm represents over 2500 companies having a total turnover of around 11 Billion Euro, 70% of the total European Fire Safety & Security market. Their members include national associations in 16 countries as well as individual companies.
GESA and EOS are partnering on the FP7
GESA was founded in 2007 as a non-party-affiliated society and tts members are composed of representatives from research and science, politics, economics and public agencies. The association was established in the context of national and European research programmes on civil society.
GESA supports and promotes the civil security architecture of Germany and Europe with regard to its content and structural development to protect the democratic society and value system.
GESA maintains a close dialogue between various stakeholders in Germany and the EU. It aims to contribute to a contemporary and progressive understanding of civil security in an overall societal context, exceeding national borders.
The first predecessor of GIFAS was founded in 1908.
GIFAS, the French aerospace industries association, is a trade organisation comprising 321 members, from major prime contractors and system suppliers to small specialist companies. They cover the full spectrum of skills from the design, development and production of aerospace systems and equipment to maintenance and operation. Activities extend from civil and military aircraft and helicopters to engines, missiles, UAV, spacecraft and launch vehicles, plus major systems, equipment, subassemblies, associated software, defence and security electronics systems.
GIFAS organises the world’s premier aerospace event, the International Paris Air Show Le Bourget, held every two years.
The 51st Paris Air Show Le Bourget will be held from 15th to 21st June 2015.
GIFAS represents a sector with a turnover of €44.4bn and generates a trade surplus (€20.3bn in 2012). This industry of excellence and innovation exports 80% of its made-in-France production; it ploughs the equivalent of 14% of its revenues back into R&D.
GIFAS members employ 170,000 people in France and recruited 15,000 in 2012.
The present GIFAS chairman is Mr Marwan LAHOUD, Chairman of EADS France and Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer of EADS.
Haut Comité pour la Défense Civile HCFDC
The French High Committee for Civil Defense (HCFDC) is an association law 1901, actor of civil society, which contributes to reflection on the doctrine, organization and techniques of our country in terms of social security.
Its activities include being a platform for exchanges between the State, Assemblies, Communities, Companies and experts on issues related to national security, for the purpose of providing better protection of people, businesses and enhanced resilience of the nation to face major risks and threats.
Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association
The Swedish Security and Defence Association is open to companies whose production of security and defence equipment and services constitutes an essential part of their output. The Association currently has 62 member companies including 55 SMEs.
The purpose of the Association is to promote the common interests of the security and defence industry and to strive for increased understanding of its importance to Swedish security and defence policy. The Association represents the Swedish security and defence industry in ASD (AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe), NIAG/PfP (NATO Industrial Advisory Group/Partnership for Peace) and are the appointed Swedish National Defence Industry Association (NDIA) towards the EU (European Defence Agency, EU Commission) and in the Nordic context (NORDEFCO), this in addition to closely co-operating with defence industry organisations and associations in several countries.
The Association maintains a close dialogue and collaborates extensively with the Swedish government as well as supporting agencies such as the Swedish Armed Forces, Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), Swedish Defence & Security Export Agency (FXM) and the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI).
The Hague Security Delta (HSD)
The Hague Security Delta (HSD) is the largest security cluster in Europe. In this Dutch cluster, companies, governments, and research institutions work together on innovations and knowledge in the field of cyber security, national and urban security, protection of critical infrastructure, and forensics. They have a shared ambition: a secure world and economic development.
